Hi, my name is Lauren! I have been an aspiring photographer since I was very young. I remember getting my first "real" camera as a gift, back when film was the only option. I must have used a roll of film in the first day, and I was hooked! I was lucky enough to move with the times and get a digital camera, which was amazing! I was able to take the picture and instantly see it, and decide if it was good enough to keep. The delete button saved my parents from having to buy memory stick after memory stick!
Photography, as a class, was first introduced my senior year of high school. I loved it. In addition to learning how to process my own film, and photographs, it taught me how to have a critical eye and to only capture moments worth keeping so not to waste film. In college, I majored in Studio Art with a concentration on Photography, where I was exposed to the processes of black and white, color and digital photography. From there, capturing the essence of a person/family or an event to look back on for years to come has become my passion - whether it be candid moment or a posed portrait.
